Coastsight -- Your Guide to the Sights of the Oregon Coast

The Oregon Coast is the most beautiful coastline in the United States. Every years, millions of visitors flock to the Oregon Coast just to experience the beauty of its sandy shoes, rocky headlands, and ancient forests. The Oregon Coast Visitor Association has a wealth of information so you can plan your vacation.

Highway 101 is the main highway down the coast and has been designated one of America's official scenic byways. There are no really large cities on the Oregon Coast. The largest urban area is Coos Bay and North Bend, a pair of cities that together contain fewer than 25,000 residents. The oldest American settlement west of the Mississippi was in Astoria, which is actually a river city rather than coastal.
